Betty Mae Thomas, a beloved member of her community and a longtime employee at Parkers Hosiery, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, at Autumn Care of Marion. Born on January 15, 1937, in Buncombe County, North Carolina.
Throughout her career, Betty was known for her unwavering commitment and hardworking spirit at Parkers Hosiery, where she served with distinction for many years. Yet, it was beyond her professional life that Betty truly shone—she was a people person in every sense of the word. Her home was a lively haven where children gathered as often as they could, sharing meals and playing ball, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Betty’s love extended to all around her, including her cherished dog, Lilly, who was a loyal companion and brought her much joy.
