Betty Jean Hunt

Betty Jean Hunt, a beloved member of her family and community, passed away peacefully at her residence on September 25, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on April 16, 1932, in Spartanburg , South Carolina, Betty lived a life characterized by her generous spirit and dedication to those she loved.

After a career at Baxter Health Care, Betty retired, cherishing the time she spent helping others in various capacities. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her professional life, as she was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. Betty's warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, and she took great pride in her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Jean Hunt; her son, Joey Hunt, and his wife Joanne; her daughter, Gloria Ann Honeycutt, and her husband Donald; her sister, Patsy Clark; and her brother, Lester Davis. In addition to her immediate family, Betty is also remembered fondly by a number of grandchildren and step-grandchildren, who carry forward her legacy of love and compassion.

Betty was a devoted member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church, where her faith guided her actions and inspired those around her. Her hobbies included helping others and working in her flowers, reflecting her deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures and the beauty of nature.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nellie Briggs Davis, and her siblings: Ralph Davis, Carrol Davis, Jerry Davis, R.J. Davis, Fred Davis, Donald Davis, along with infants Baby Davis, Earl Davis, and Edward Davis. 

Visitation will be held on September 28, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 4:00 PM at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory, located at 2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC, 28752 with Reverends Seth Bright and Jason Bright. Interment will follow at the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman whose life left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to know her.
