Betty Silvers Franklin

Betty Silvers Franklin, age 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 2, 2026.

Betty was born on June 3, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Baxter Silvers and Bernice Higgins Silvers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Marvin Silvers, and her sister, Imogene Pate.

Betty found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved crocheting, gardening, and canning, and especially enjoyed spending time tending to her flower garden. She also cherished reading and reflecting on Bible scriptures, which brought her comfort and joy.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Daniel Franklin; her children, Kevin Miller (Carol), Daniel Miller, Christalee Hyder (Gaylynn), Rita Lyons, and Kori Elliott (Daniel); her brothers, Ronnie Silvers (Ruth) and Gary Silvers (Deborah); nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special four-legged companion, Petey.

The family will hold a service on Friday, November 6, 2026, at Beam Funeral Service Chapel. The service will begin at 2:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at McDowell Memorial Park.
