Barbara Ann Wise

Barbara Ann Biggerstaff Wise, born on February 26, 1942, in Burke County, NC, passed away peacefully at her residence on June 7, 2025. She was a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, known for her warmth and her nurturing spirit.

Barbara was a proud homemaker whose culinary talents brought joy and comfort to all who knew her. She was celebrated not only for her delicious meals but also for her love of shopping, which was one of her favorite pastimes.

She is survived by her loving children: Libby Tate, Scott Wise (Penny), Suzan Wise, and Shannon Wise (Darin). Barbara cherished her role as a grandmother to Oakley Sparks, Nicholas Cordell, Heather Tate, Jackson Mills, and Malcom Wise. Additionally, she was proud of her great grandchildren: Breianna Wallace, Brady Wallace, Bryson Wallace, and Allexxi Whitmire.

In addition to her immediate family, Barbara is also survived by her siblings: Randy Biggerstaff and his wife Betty, Brenda B. Kemp, and Becky B. Ligon. She shared a special bond with her nieces, Gail Dale and Debbie Causby, who held a dear place in her heart.

Barbara is predeceased by her husbands, Bobby Ray Cordell and Edward Homer Wise, and her parents, Paul and Ruth Houck Biggerstaff.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Barbara's life will be held at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory located at 2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752, on June 12, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed.
