Barbara Smith Wheeler

Barbara Smith Wheeler, age 68, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus after a courageous battle with cancer.

Barbara was born July 8, 1955 to the late Cecil and Mary Bradley Smith. She taught school at East McDowell Middle School until her retirement. She loved the kids and they loved her. She had a big heart for animals. Barbara loved collecting anything and everything.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Terry Wheeler; son, Terry Wheeler (Heather) and their children Riley and Shelby Wheeler who were her pride and joy; son, Chris Wheeler; and one sister, Linda Jones.
