Marion

Barbara Evelyn Robbins, age 83, of Marion, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Autumn Care. Barbara was born on April 6, 1943, to the late Kents Jackson and Mamie Ledbetter Jackson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Diane Robbins, and a great grandson, Landon Robbins.

Barbara was a longtime and devoted member of Montford Cove Baptist Church, where her faith and church family held a special place in her heart. She enjoyed spending her time crocheting, knitting, and sewing, often taking the time to mend and repair clothing for herself and others. She also had a love for cooking and was known for preparing delicious barbecue and sweet tea for every occasion, making sure there was always something to share with family and friends. Barbara found great joy in tending to the flowers in her garden and took pride in watching them grow and bloom.

Above all, Barbara cherished her family, especially her grandchildren, and treasured every moment she was able to spend with them. She was a kindhearted, loving, and soft-spoken woman whose gentle nature left a lasting impression on those who knew her. Barbara never met a stranger and had a special way of making everyone feel welcome. Her home was always open, and she welcomed others with warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality. She will be remembered for her loving heart, generous spirit, and the many special memories she created with those she held dear.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years Ray “Shorty” Robbins; her son, Danny Robbins (Robin), of Marion; her brother, Ronnie “Hurricane” Jackson (Denise), of Marion; her sister, Betty Barnet, of Rome Mountain, TN; her grandchildren, Jennifer Moore, Jessica Robbins, Mitchell Boles, Daniel Robbins, Greg Cannon, and Brian Cannon, along with six great-grandchildren.

A service to honor Barbaras’ life will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the Beam Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Bobby Gettys officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Interment will follow the service at Montford Cove Baptist Church Cemetery.
