Barbara McFarland

     Barbara Gaye Morrell McFarland, 76, of Marion, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Mountain Ridge Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Black Mountain.

     Barbara was born on June 24, 1950 and was raised by Bernice Cable from the age of 18 months. She was married to the late Alfred Thomas McFarland, Jr., who passed away in 2013. She was a member of Grandview Baptist Church, where she loved attending. Barbara enjoyed going to the trade lot, coloring, and making jewelry. She will always be loved and remembered.

     Survivors include two sisters, Brenda Edwards and Mary Frances Parcel; a brother, Sam Morrell; and her beloved companion, Eddie Riddle.

     In accordance with Barbara’s wishes, no services are scheduled.
