Barbara Evans

Barbara Ann Lawing Evans, 80, of Morganton, passed away, Friday, November 12, 2021.

Barbara was born in Iredell County, North Carolina, on July 13, 1941, to the late Beulah Moore and Clyde Lawing. She was married to the late Gerald W. Baker, who preceded her in death in 1995. Barbara was a member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church in Nebo. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. Most of all, she had a passion for helping the less fortunate and those marginalized by society. Barbara’s memory will live forever in the hearts of those she loved.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two children.

She is survived by a daughter, Ronda Baker Jones and husband David of Nebo; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
