Arzella Mae Boone Robinson

On the evening of Wednesday, July 28, 2021, Arzella Mae Boone Robinson passed away at Mission McDowell. A native of Yancey County, Arzella was born on July 13, 1930 to the late Arthur and Maggie Robinson Boone.

Arzella enjoyed quilting, canning and gardening. She was a lifelong homemaker and was known as a prayer warrior. She loved spending time with her family but most of all she loved the Lord. Arzella was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.

Arzella is survived by her husband of seventy-four years, Clyde Monroe Robinson; seven children, Gloria “Toby” Robinson, Joan Owensby, Sharon Hollifield Wyatt, Gordon Robinson (Debbie), Gwen Killough (Ricky), Laurel LeSesne and Tammy R. Walker (Charles). Also surviving Arzella are siblings, Paul Boone and Mary Lou Jarrett; twelve grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.

A funeral service to celebrate Arzella’s life will take place on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Beam Funeral Service with Reverends Trent McKeehan and Jeff Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Double Island Cemetery in Yancey County.
