Arvin McGlaspy Gibson

Arvin McGlaspy Gibson, 85, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, July 08, 2022 at his home.

He was born on October 19, 1936 to the late Lewis Gibson and Jessie Jones Gibson.

Mr. Gibson was always so sweet to me. I made jam every summer and quite a lot of jars always ended up going to him. He was so thoughtful that he even saved his leftover jars to give back to me with a big wink that sealed the deal... he'd be getting more the following summer. One of the last times he drove up to my house to return jars, he surprised me with a thank you gift...a lovely wooden box he handcrafted. I will treasure it forever and think of him every time I look at it. He will be missed.
