SPC. Antoine Edward Lindsey, Jr., born on August 9, 2000, in McDowell County, passed away on January 27, 2026. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and inspiration that will forever resonate with all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Little, as he was affectionately called, embraced life with an unparalleled zeal. His faith in God was the cornerstone of his existence, and he consistently shared that love with those around him. Alongside his devotion to God, his family held the utmost importance in his heart. His bond with his "Pops", also known as Big, was truly extraordinary—an unbreakable connection characterized by love and mutual respect. Together, they epitomized a relationship that was both rare and beautiful.
Antoine’s relationship with his mother, Jaime Kittle, was equally special. She often expressed her unconditional love for him, proclaiming that he was the only man who ever stole her heart. Their relationship was filled with moments of love, laughter, and tears, instilling in him a spirit of resilience and optimism that he radiated throughout his life.
As siblings, Antoine shared a deep bond with his sister, Chaunda Hill (aka Sweetie). Their relationship transcended even that of siblings—they were best friends; a perfect reflection of the saying "My Brother's Keeper and My Sister's Protector." Their connection was a testament to the notion that family is not solely defined by blood but also by the love and friendship shared among them.
Further enriching his family ties were his father, Antoine Lindsey Sr. and wife Donna, step-siblings Katera Frazier and Zavion Allred. Antoine also cherished his relationships with his paternal grandfather, James Lindsey, and uncle, Don Lindsey, aunts, Kimberley Kittle and husband Gregory Tournour W03 Retired and Tracey Kittle along with numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins. Also surviving are nieces Aubriana and Marley Hamilton, and nephew Tyler Hamilton. The warmth of their love enveloped him, and his impact on their lives was profound.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Ann Lindsey and maternal grandparents SGT. Elmer Paul Kittle and Gail Kittle.
Antoine was currently serving as active U.S. Army soldier, a role that highlighted his commitment to service and sacrifice. He enjoyed various pursuits, including playing basketball, frequenting the gym, listening to music, dancing, and indulging in video games. Known for his infectious smile and distinctive laughter, he had a unique ability to uplift those around him, brightening even the darkest of days.
In a final act of generosity, Antoine left a lasting impact on the lives of others by donating his organs, giving the extraordinary gift of life to four individuals. His love and light continue to shine through the lasting imprint he made in the hearts of many.
Antoine Lindsey's presence will be deeply missed, but the love he spread will never fade. His family and friends will hold his memory close, cherishing the moments spent together and celebrating a life that exemplified love, kindness, and joy.
