Anna Mae Ward Worley

Anna Mae Ward Worley, 77, of Candler, North Carolina passed away on the evening of Monday, December 19, 2022 at Mission Memorial Hospital of Asheville.

Anna was born to the late Charles Ward and Annie Hensley Ward in Buncombe County on July 12, 1945. In her younger days she grew up on a family farm in the Beaver Dam Community. She enjoyed showing horses and was known as a wonderful cook. She also enjoyed working in her garden and her flowers. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved her dogs, Stormy and Missy. She was a great Christian woman, and will be greatly missed.

Including her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ken Worley and a brother, James Ward.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Ken Ramsey (Lisa) and Shane Ramsey; a sister, Carolyn Ivy and three grandchildren, Levi Ramsey, Carson Ramsey (Ashley Bradley) and Kaycee Ramsey (Ben Elam).

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 4:30 pm, prior to the service, at the church; Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 5 Jordan Road, Swannanoa, NC 28778.
