Andrew Michael Dahms

March 6, 1993 — December 6, 2019

Andrew Michael Dahms of Marion NC was received into the arms of his Heavenly Father on Friday December 06, 2019 at the age of 26

Andrew is survived by his parents, Edward L and Alanna J (Nix) Dahms of Castle Hayne, NC; brother, Robert E Dahms of Wilmington, NC; Grandparents, Phillip R and Myra Eloise Whitlow of Beach Park Ill. He is preceded in death by Don W and Beverly J Nix and Edward L Dahms Sr.

Andrew was born on March 06, 1993 in Highland Park, Ill and was raised in Waukegan Ill for 8 years before moving to NC. He loved his profession as an auto mechanic but was considered a jack of all trades.

While growing up he was very active serving his church by playing his drums in the Praise band, children’s ministry and with a local outreach that ministered to the women in prison. He also enjoyed his service of feeding the local homeless. He made the choice to be Baptized on August 08, 2013 in the Atlantic Ocean in Fort Fisher, NC. He chose a Celtic Cross tattoo and the Bible verse 2 Corinthians 5:17 to mark the occasion and proudly shared his love for the Lord.  Andrew rose to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Civil Air Patrol NC Cape Fear Composite Squadron where he served in the Color Guard and as a flag bearer for the annual Wreaths Across America Ceremony.

Andrew made everyone that he met feel special and loved to make them laugh. He was often followed around by children and animals because of his huge heart. He rescued a bulldog/boxer mix named Rocket and she quickly became his world. Andrew was kind to a fault and left an impression on everyone that he met including the many online friends that he met through video games.
