Amber Akers Freeman

     Amber Akers Freeman, 41, of Marion, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville.

     Amber was born in Orlando, Florida, on April 3, 1981, to Darrell Kenneth Akers, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Weber. She was married to Chad Edward Freeman. She attended Grace Community Church in Marion. Amber enjoyed shopping, reading, walking, traveling, and going to the beach with her family. Most of all, Amber loved watching the sunrise over the ocean. She touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed.

     Amber was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Kenneth Akers, Jr.; a sister, Stacy Akers; and a step father, Gregory Presnell.

     Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Chad Freeman; her father, Ken Akers (Jennifer); her mother, Mary Presnell; four children, Sean Rhinehart, Makenzie Rhinehart, Brett Freeman, and Bryce Freeman; her brother, Steve Akers (Stephanie); an expecting grandson, Greyson Blake Wilson; her papa, Donald Farnham; numerous step brothers, step sisters, nieces, and cousins.

     A funeral will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2022, at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery.

     The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the funeral home.
