Amanda Marie Edwards

Amanda “Mandy” Marie Edwards, 32, of Nebo, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Mission Hospital McDowell.

She was born November 29, 1990 in Morganton. Mandy was a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, and friend, but her favorite title was being a mother. She was a wonderful mother and loved her daughter tremendously. Her daughter loved her greatly in return. When her health allowed, Mandy enjoyed working outdoors. She will be missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Brandon Sanders; mother, Cynthia Williams Edwards; maternal grandfather, Harley Williams; paternal grandfather, Marshall Edwards; and an uncle, Marshall Kenneth Edwards.

She is survived by her father, Timothy “Chili” Edwards; daughter, Brooklynn Elizabeth Sanders; brother, Justin Edwards; grandparents, Jennie Williams and Mildred and Gene Sumlin; uncles, James Edwards, Ricky Williams, and Ronnie Williams; and her mother-in-law, Amy Martin Spencer.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery.
