Aimee Marie Harwood

Aimee Marie Harwood, 43, of Marion passed away on the evening of Monday, August 3, 2026 at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville. She was born on June 19, 1983 in McDowell County to Donald Clay Harwood and Robin Hollifield Pace.

Aimee was preceded in death by her father, Donald Harwood; grandparents, Herman Hollifield, Ruby Looper and Ivory Harwood.

She loved spending time outdoors and made many memories camping, hiking and fishing. Working with her plants and looking for gem stones was another way she enjoyed spending her time outdoors. Aimee loved animals, especially her dog Eli. She was known as a good soul and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving Aimee are her mother, Robin Hollifield Pace (Bubby); her grandmother, Flo Mckinney; her eight children, Devon Harwood, Natalie Letterman (Tony Collins), Aaron Price, Allie Styles, Braylee Melton, Mason Melton, Marshall Melton and Brantley Melton; her sisters, Megan Harwood (Robert Roland) and Amanda Roberts (Christopher Roberts); her grandchildren, Reece Harwood, Ivory Powser, Alaia Collins and one on the way, (Tony Collins); her boyfriend, Tyler Shelton and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service with receiving of friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 pm. Her dear friend, Pastor Steven Painter will be conducting the service.
