Maxine Sisk Allison, age 71, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, June 30, 2017 at her residence in Marion.  The daughter of the late Elbert and Bessie Patton Sisk, she was born in McDowell County, North Carolina on July 18, 1945.  She was also preceded in death by brother, Alvin Sisk.

 

A devoted mother and grandmother, Maxine loved reading and she attended Trinity Baptist Church in Nebo.

 

She is survived by her special friend, Lawrence Goings; one daughter, Sandra Harper (Harry); three brothers, Charles Sisk (Dianna), Lawrence “Sam” Sisk and Jerry Sisk (Pam); two sisters, Gladys Hudson and Della Burnette (Roy); two grandchildren, Bruce Hensley and Megan Conard; two great grandchildren, Lelund Hensley and Farrah Conard; and a number of nieces and nephews.

 

A celebration of Miss Maxine’s life will be held on Sunday, July 02, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Ray Stockton and Rev. Jonathan Burnette officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
