I am so sorry for your loss. I loved Aunt Mabel very much. Every vacation she became my second mom, when I was growing up. Miss talking to her each month. Mom will be surprised when she meets her in heaven when moms time is done here on earth. Love to you all

Gail and family members:
I loved Mabel from the first time I met her and always enjoyed being with her. When we would go on visitation, Mrs. Annie would go too, and as soon as I got the car started they would be laughing, cutting up, and made visitation a lot of fun. Mabel always had that twinkle in her eye, and no matter how bad things got (cancer, loss of her beloved Dewey, etc.) she faced life head-on with determination. My very favorite scripture, Mark 14:8a describes her perfectly:..."she hath done what she could". Mabel loved all of her family, and she loved her Church family, too. I cherish the times I spent with you and your Mom whether it be at the grocery store or when you would bring her by my store to visit with me. Take comfort in knowing you you will see her again. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints". Today, Heaven gained another saint. I love you Gail. Jean Revis

Mabel was one of the most positive ladies that we have ever known". She always saw the positive in people and in situations....such a blessing to everyone that knew her! I looked forward to seeing her each Sunday at Autumn Care...she would always be waiting for me and we would go to Sunday School. We would visit some of our friends before we went to Sunday School and she always had something kind to say to them. She will certainly be missed... Our loss is Heaven's gain.

So sorry to hear about your mother. I know that it hurts but the pain will lessen and you know that she is happy cause she is with your father. That is how I got through mother's death knowing she was finally happy cause she was with daddy. If there is anything you need, just let me know. I will be praying for all of you.

My Nanny James was one of the very most important people in my life, and the lives of others. She was such a very special lady and was a major influence in my life. I will miss her more than words can express, and love her always while I have breath, but I know that she is with my Pawpaw James again, together with our Lord in heaven and I'll see them again on the day the Lord calls me home, as well.

She accepted and loved my wonderful wife Maria as her own grand-daughter, and thought so much of her! Not because Maria was "just" the wife of her grandson, but because she genuinely loved her so much. That's just a small part of how wonderful she was, but there was so much more to her heart and personality. She treasured her family and loved every one of us more than anything in the world. Above all though, she was a wonderful Christian woman, and therefore a wonderful influence on me and so many others, besides just her family.

The sadness we all feel for her passing is natural, and will be a long time in fading, but we should always remember and be happy that she is in a better place now, without all the trials and tribulations of daily human life, reunited with loved ones and our Saviour in heaven, waiting for the rest of us in glory.

We love you and miss you so much, Nanny!

Thanks to everyone expressing their condolences and wishes. I know she would be so happy that so many thought so much of her during her time here.

Mabel was a very sweet person. I enjoyed visiting her at Autumn Care. She never complained about being there. Always shared a little something that had happened there on that day. She has now completed her journey that started on the day that she accept Lord as her Savior. Praying for the family during this difficult time.

I miss you so much. You were there for me more than anyone and never turned your back on me. I just want to sit down and talk to you right now. It hurts so much that you're gone. You were the closest person to me from the time I was born until you left this earth. Not a day has passed that I haven't cried. I know you won't even know I'm posting this, but it makes me feel like I'm talking to you. I love you and miss you with all my heart, maw maw.

Mrs. James was so very special to me. She came and worked in my classroom for several years. The students put together a quilt for her one year. She touched so many lives with her kindness. I will pray for you all.
